During The Game Awards 2022, developer FromSoftware officially unveiled Armored Core 6 – roughly ten months on from releasing the mega-popular Elden Ring. At the time, just ‘2023’ was attached to the title as a projected launch window, but a new report is suggesting that the game will be out in just a few short months.

According to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, the upcoming FromSoftware title will release on August 25th, 2023. That’s all there is to say really – according to the outlet’s sources, Armored Core 6 really is that close to launching!

At the time of writing this date is not official – FromSoftware hasn’t updated its AC6 launch window beyond ‘2023’. Summer Game Fest is right around the corner though (organised by the team behind The Game Awards), and we could definitely see the title appearing there given its 2023 window.

Around a week or so ago, a Microsoft Store listing for Armored Core 6 briefly appeared before being hastily removed. That slip up didn’t reveal any sort of release date, but clearly, things are going on in the background and FromSoftware appears to be gearing up for releasing fresh details on Armored Core 6.
